This summer, Sea View Events throws open the gates for a night of music, madness, and moonshine-worthy memories. Headlining the evening are the legendary Mad Dog Mcrea, rolling in with their iconic purple happy bus and a setlist that’s part folk rock, part gypsy jazz, part bluegrass — and 100% “shake-your-ass” energy. Their songs spin tales of legless pirates, fairies, black flies, and moonshine-fuelled misadventures, all delivered with infectious charm and festival-hardened swagger.

Opening the night are The Duskies, Cornwall’s first cowpunk hillbilly party band, straight from the rugged cliffs of Tintagel. Expect barn-shaking country energy with punk attitude and a healthy dose of mischief. Their live shows are a riot of twanging guitars, driving rhythms, and infectious stage presence — guaranteed to make you moooooooove with a hillbilly twist! They’ll have you dancing, howling, and grinning from the first chord to the last encore.

The Haybale Stage

Our open-air haybale stage sets the scene for a proper Cornish blowout — fairy lights, straw stacks, and a dance floor under the stars. Expect hillbilly antics spontaneous dance-offs, moonshine and mayhem 

Dress code? Anything goes — dungarees, cowboy boots, pirate hats, fairy wings, or just your best festival grin.

Why go home when the party’s just getting started? Pitch your tent in our dedicated camping field and soak up the sea breeze, starlight, and post-gig glow. Wake up to the smell of fresh coffee and sizzling bacon at our Sea View Café, serving up hearty breakfasts from 9:00 AM.

The Donegal Moonshine Incident

Mad Dog Mcrea’s off-stage antics are as storied as their music. One infamous tale, now local folklore in Donegal, Ireland, involves moonshine, a midnight beach, and a very plush tour bus.

After a festival and a few too many sips of the local brew, the band — lost and merry — parked their bus on a beach, just shy of the Atlantic’s edge. The party rolled on inside, blissfully unaware of the rising tide. As the ocean crept in, the sand gave way and the bus began to sink. Realising their soggy fate, the band bailed out and swam to safety, watching helplessly as their gear vanished beneath the waves into Davy Jones’ locker.

The famous purple happy bus is fired up and ready for action, and there’s room for you – jump aboard!
